ABI Community Services has an opportunity for a Physiotherapist with experience in neuro - rehabilitation who would be interested in being supported to diversify into Paediatric Brain injury rehabilitation. We are a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation in NZ and an accredited provider of community based rehabilitation for adults and children with traumatic and acquired brain injury.
Key clinical roles include assessment and rehabilitation of clients with traumatic brain injury to facilitate return to pre injury roles and activities. We also support babies and children with neurodevelopmental challenges to achieve their developmental potential. We see our client’s at home, school/ kindy, and community settings and have a strong client and family/ whanau focus.
You would be working in a supportive team environment alongside medical rehabilitation specialists, clinical and neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, dietitians, registered nurses and social workers. We can offer you excellent opportunities for paediatric professional development. You would also have the opportunity to contribute to rehabilitation service planning and promotion, training and development of fellow team members, and clinical research.
The successful applicant will have a Bachelor of Health Science- Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and a minimum of two years’ experience (neuro rehabilitation experience preferred).
